Biographical Info

I’m a 5th generation Iowa farmer. I grew up on a 1000 acre corn, soybean, and cattle farm in western Iowa. My husband Patrick Standley and I now own and operate Coyote Run Farm on 110 acres in south central Iowa. We raise grass finished beef and produce for local markets. We are reducing our produce production and investing in opportunities for carbon farming. I am also the executive director of Iowa Interfaith Power & Light, an Iowa non-profit that empowers Iowans of faith and conscience to take bold and just climate action. In that work, we are empowering Iowa farmers to lead in developing climate smart agricultural solutions on their farms. I’ve been working off farm in agriculture sustainability for over 20 years. I frequently speak and write for local, state, and national audiences about the opportunities for farmers to help solve the climate crisis.
